- Payment processing is handled by Paypal. FlyTimeNotify does not store any credit card information.
- Do I need a mobile phone number to use the paid service?
- No. The mobile notification is optional. The purpose of having both email and SMS is to maximize the chance that you receive the notification in a timely manner. In this case, time is money, and FlyTimeNotify wants to deliver as quickly as possible so you can save money.
- Does FlyTimeNotify support non-U.S. mobile numbers?
- Yes! Just include a plus sign and your country code. International airlines are being added frequently to the list of available airlines.
- What service provides the paid priority email notifications?
- Priority emails are sent through the reliable and high deliverability service SendGrid.
- What service provides the priority SMS notifications?
- Priority sms (text) messages are sent through the 3rd party service Twilio.
- Why are basic email notifications limited to 150 emails per hour?
- This is a limitation of the servers that host FlyTimeNotify, and thus does not require an additional cost to transmit the email messages, inline with the free service.
- Is there a widget for airline booking dates I can embed on my website?
- Yes there is. Check out the airline booking date widget page to grab the widget code and see an example.
- How is FlyTimeNotify funded?
- The service is bootstrapped and has no outside funding. From the very beginning, the service is designed to be a profitable business.
- Who created FlyTimeNotify?
- FlyTimeNotify was created by Mario Lurig. Privately, he used his coding knowledge to notify him whenever Southwest Airlines updated their schedule horizon for Christmas. After 3 years, he realized others may benefit from the service.
